How do I borrow items from the library?

How many items may I borrow from the library?

How long do I have items for that I've borrowed from the library?

How do I renew/extend loans I have with the library?

Am I charged for borrowing from the library?

Answer

The Learning Resource Center has a collection of books, DVDs, and other resources which you are welcome to browse, use in-house, and borrow.

You will require your SAE ID card to borrow from the library.

Extending your Loans (Renewing)

Books can be renewed once. Items from the AV collection cannot be renewed and must be returned by the end of the initial loan. Renewals will be for the same duration as the initial loan. You can renew items by going to your library account or by contacting the librarian via the 'Contact Us' tab on the right-hand side of your screen.

FINES AND PENALTIES

SAE US will not collect fines for late items. Staff and Faculty will be charged at the current retail prices for any items that remain outstanding from the library for more than four weeks. Staff and Faculty also have the option to replace the item themselves.
