How do I use Google Scholar

Google Scholar is a web search engine created by Google to locate academic and scholarly materials. Searching Google Scholar is easy, but you may not be able to access some of the full-text articles, as many publishers will not allow non-subscribers to read the full-text articles for free.
When you are looking at a list of results, look to the right of the list to see if there are access links labeled [PDF] or [HTML]. If you are unable to locate the access links, you can go to "All versions" under the article to see if you can obtain it from another site, such as the author's website.
It is useful to link the SAE Library to Google Scholar so that you can get access to the full-text articles SAE library subscribes to.
To connect the SAE library to Google Scholar, follow these steps:
Click on:
- Google Scholar
- Settings
- Library Links
- Type in SAE library (and any other library you subscribe to)
- Tick the "SAE Institute Australasian Libraries" option that appears
- Save
