Where can I find theses?

Answer

Theses are valuable sources of information, especially for topics where there are fewer published works available. The reference list in a thesis can be useful to find further published sources on a topic.

 

AUSTRALIAN THESES

Use TROVE to search for Australian theses

  • Select Trove Advanced Search and choose ‘Research and Reports’
  • Type your keywords into the first box
  • Refine your results by Format selecting ‘Thesis’

 

INTERNATIONAL THESES

NETWORKED DIGITAL LIBRARY OF THESES & DISSERTATIONS (NDLTD)
A large database of theses from around the world with links to many full-text records.

OPEN ACCESS THESES AND DISSERTATIONS (OATD)
Database of open access theses and dissertations published around the world.

DART-Europe
A portal for the discovery of European Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs).

DOCTORAL DISSERTATIONS IN MUSICOLOGY
An international database of bibliographic records for completed dissertations and new dissertation topics in the fields of musicology, music theory, and ethnomusicology. DDM does not include the dissertations themselves.
