What does a capped grade / capping mean?
Answer
Grade capping is the penalty associated with failing to meet the submission requirements on the original submission opportunity. A capped assignment can only receive a maximum of 16 (pass).
At Level 4 (4100-4400), resubmissions are uncapped so long as you met the original submission deadline. If you missed the original deadline (Late submission or Non-submission) you will still get a resubmission opportunity, but it will be capped.
From Level 5 and above (5100-6300), all resubmissions are capped.
