I failed my submission, what do I do?

Answer

In general, as long as you submitted your work by the original due date, you will be entitled to a Resubmission opportunity.

Failing marks include the following:

Students who receive resubmission opportunities are given 2 weeks to submit a new assignment that better meets the criteria. Be sure to check your initial submission's Feedback to see what areas need to be fixed in order to pass your resubmission.

If you submitted your original work late (Late Submission) or not at all (Non-submission) then you may or may not be entitled to a resubmission opportunity:

  • At level 4 (4100-4400) you can get a resubmission opportunity, but it will be capped.
  • At level 5 and above (5100-6300) you will not get a resubmission opportunity.

If you have exhausted all your resubmission opportunities and still not received a Compensatable grade, then unfortunately you will have failed your module and will need to contact SAE to discuss your options.
